Wolf & Wheat is seeking a new Pastry Cook to join the newly opened dessert shop and commissary for Scratch Restaurants.

The ideal candidate will be able to assist in making high volume creations, greet all customers with a warm welcome, happily assist customers by answering questions, making recommendations, and complete the guest experience by closing out guest transactions.

When not working in the retail space, the pastry cook will continue to support the team in preparing desserts and Margarita’s famous sourdough bread for the Pasta|Bar Austin and Sushi by Scratch Restaurant locations.

Desired Skills and Abilities: Candidates with 1-3 years of experience who have worked in savory or bakery environment.

Requirements: Basic English reading and communication skills.

Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in multi-tasking in dynamic situations. Must be able to use cashiering system and basic technology.

Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.

Ability to work effectively within a team.

Strong attention to detail following all aspects of recipes.

Knowledge of weights, measurements, volume, cooking procedures and equipment.

Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise. Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets the Company standards.

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed. Continuous use of hands and arms.

Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time. Continuous bending, reaching and twisting.

Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.
