The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a part of the People Department, and reports directly to our Lead People & Talent Acquisition Manager. You'll be responsible for ensuring we continue to attract and hire the best and brightest people for our full-time, part-time, and freelance roles through a wide variety of tasks including: 

• Identifying avenues to continue to attract amazing candidates including collaborating with marketing on targeted campaigns
• Cultivating a bench of strong candidates and actively suggesting them for new roles
• Drafting career descriptions, managing candidate funnels and timelines, reviewing applications, and interviewing amazing people
• Scheduling and facilitating onsite interviews with candidates and other Tribe members
• Conducting Culture Interviews!
• Regularly reporting on career openings' statuses, identifying when roles are not receiving enough interest, and strategizing additional steps to attract more candidates
• Actively seeking ways to improve the experience for prospective Tribe members, part-timers, and freelancers
• Making offer and rejection calls, and drafting employment agreements
• Serving as the primary point of contact for the incredible humans applying to work with Scribe!

By virtue of your position, you'll have a deep involvement in scaling our Tribe from 80 to hundreds of full-time Tribe Members!  You'll have the opportunity to support thousands of candidates with their application process and be the introduction to the Tribe experience for the dozens of new Tribe members we intend to hire this year alone. If you do it right, you'll quickly understand your value as a member of this high-performing Tribe.

We have big plans and are scaling quickly, so advancement is guaranteed if you're accountable, produce results, and are committed to learning. When that happens, you'll move into whatever role you're best suited for -- whether you stay with People or something new that we create together.

The problem is that writing and publishing books are, for most people, a painful and difficult process, loaded with uncertainty and aggravation. Our goal is to make it as simple as possible, so that as many people as possible can do it. 

We have multiple ways we help people do this. We can edit and publish an already written manuscript (Scribe Publishing), or we can help people write their book using a structured process with our guidance (Scribe Guided Author), or we can do a structured interview process that gets the book out of them in their words and their voice (Scribe Professional). 

And if you can't afford our services, that's fine. We give away all of our information for free. Seriously, it's called Scribe Book School, and it's better than any paid course on the internet.

WHY OUR WORK MATTERS

Our company was started because a frustrated entrepreneur wanted to put all of her incredible knowledge and ideas into a book, but didn't have the time to write it or the patience to deal with the frustrating publishing process. So we solved her problem. The origin story is here.
