    The Operations Coordinator supports our Finance, Sales, and People departments and manages our office here in Austin. They report directly to the Director of Operations and are responsible for a wide variety of tasks that will give them a front-row seat as we scale our business. This includes sending invoices and helping authors to make payments, supporting the hiring of Freelancers and Tribe members, managing our agreement and email templates, planning and coordinating Tribe events, and being the go-to for all things office management.

    By virtue of your position, you will learn everything about how the Operations division works, and if you do it right, you'll quickly realize your value as a member of this high-performing tribe. 

    We have big plans and are scaling quickly, so advancement is guaranteed if you're accountable, produce results, and are committed to learning. When that happens, you'll move into whatever role and department you're best suited for--finance, sales, people, special projects, or something new that we create together.

    We're SCRIBE MEDIA, and our mission is to help everyone on earth write, publish and market their book.

    The problem is that writing and publishing books are, for most people, a painful and difficult process, loaded with uncertainty and aggravation. Our goal is to make it as simple as possible, so that as many people as possible can do it. 

    We have multiple ways we help people do this. We can edit and publish an already written manuscript (Scribe Publishing), or we can help people write their book using a structured process with our guidance (Scribe Guided Author), or we can do a structured interview process that gets the book out of them in their words and their voice (Scribe Professional). 

    And if you can't afford our services, that's fine. We give away all of our information for free. Seriously, it's called Scribe Book School, and it's better than any paid course on the internet.

    Our company was started because a frustrated entrepreneur wanted to put all of her incredible knowledge and ideas into a book, but didn't have the time to write it or the patience to deal with the frustrating publishing process. So we solved her problem. The origin story is here.

    • ACCOUNTABILITY AND ORGANIZATION: Operations is the heart of the company and everything flows through them. You must hold yourself to high standards, be able to stay organized, and keep details straight, or it messes with the rest of the company. In fact, impeccable attention to detail is so important for this role, on the application when it asks “what is your favorite animal” we want you to write “attention to detail is my middle name”. Seriously. We can not stress this enough.
    • PRIORITIZE AND MANAGE TIME EFFECTIVELY: You're doing a little bit of everything in this role, which is excellent for learning how it all works, but if you want to succeed, you'll need to prioritize and manage your time well. 
    • COURAGEOUSLY CURIOUS: You want to know how everything works. You're not afraid to challenge the status quo and are hungry to learn and grow. And when you're learning a new skill, you aren't afraid to ask questions to really understand it and get it right the first time. 
    • OPTIMISM: We believe that optimism is a super power. If you have a great attitude, strong resilience, and your default state is in a good mood, that is a skill.
    • ENTHUSIASTIC LEARNER: We will be solving new and complex problems together in this role. That often means we need to teach ourselves new skills by conducting research or connecting with outside experts in order to drive forward our results.
