    A small but fast-growing criminal defense firm is seeking a full-time legal assistant to work directly under the firm's founding attorney. This is a tremendous opportunity for growth for a self-starter who can effectively multi-task and take initiative. It's a great opportunity to not only learn about the criminal legal system but also how to run a small entrepreneurial law firm. As legal assistant to the firm's founder, you will learn all areas of the firm's management including marketing, sales, billing, and intake. We’re seeking a sharp legal assistant who can help the firm's founder keep the office running smoothly. You’ll work with the team to prepare a variety of legal documents, manage our monthly payment plans, and handle office correspondence like answering emails and phone calls. If you’re an excellent multitasker who cares about making a difference in people's lives, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities: • Manage the firm's billing and payment plans with existing clients; • Provide backup support to the firm's Client Intake Specialist; • File motions and pleadings under supervision of the firm's founding attorney; • Assist in case investigation under the supervision of the firm's founding attorney; Qualifications: • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times • Some knowledge of legal software, case management, and docketing programs • Candidates should have strong organizational skills and communication skills Compensation: $50,000 - $70,000

    • Manage the firm's billing and payment plans with existing clients; • Provide backup support to the firm's Client Intake Specialist; • File motions and pleadings under supervision of the firm's founding attorney; • Assist in case investigation under the supervision of the firm's founding attorney; • Complete other administrative tasks as needed to assist in supporting the firm's daily operations.
