Our client is looking to add talented SQL Developers to their team in Baton Rouge, LA or in Plano, TX.
Overview of the position:
- Write complex queries in TSQL and design and develop ETL processes utilizing SSIS
- Mentor Associate level Database Developers\Integration Specialist
- Solve issues with ETL processes and SQL queries and assist in system testing new and existing ETL processes
- Review ETL processes for accuracy, maintainability and performance prior to implementation
- Provide solutions for data migration and conversion
- Collaborate with DBA with respect to performance, backup strategies, security and standard methodologies
- Collaborate with internal groups and vendors to Define requirements, define test plans and implement solutions for data migration for ETL Processes and test plans
- Write system documentation and procedures. Work with team to define and communicate change control process.
- Work with DBA to implement security standards and audit practices
- Work with team to develop change control and database object migration processes
- Work with DBA to audit user access to SQL Server databases based on security standard methodologies
- Develop and maintain standard methodology policies, procedures, standards and system level documentation related to the Production, Disaster Recovery and Staging environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant work experience
- 3-10 years IT operation experience with solid grasp of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
- Experience running SQL in a virtualized environment
- Practical experience with the installation, maintenance, and upgrades of SQL Server
- Practical experience with data migration and data replication tools, technologies, and strategies
- SQL Management Studio, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, and Integration Services
- Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices
- Knowledge of conceptual, logical and physical database design
- Experience with OLAP and OLTP
