Job Brief

Our client is looking for a Network Engineer who can also support some helpdesk duties. They're a large industrial steel building manufacturer that's building a robust IT team.

Requirements

• Under the supervision of the IT Network Manager, this position is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure, including, but not limited to Firewalls, Switches, Routers, and monitoring systems.
• Support the design, development, and management of network and monitoring systems for new and existing environments.
• Configuring and supporting routing solutions
• Utilize Project management software to plan and track progress.
• Provide status updates to management and stakeholders regarding issues and progress.
• Must be able to lead projects and deliver results.

Job Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related to the field required or equivalent years of experience.
• 5+ years of working knowledge deploying/maintaining LAN/WAN
• Experience with pfSense firewalls
• Experience with Ubiquiti Wi-Fi
• Experience with Dell switches
• Experience with Alibi Camera Systems (nice to have)
• Experience with Load Balancers and WAN Acceleration.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of Core Routing and Switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting solutions with high availability, cloud environments, and real time monitoring.
• Ability to share and communicate ideas and processes in verbal and written form in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to troubleshoot complicated issues, think outside the box, get help when needed, and work with other engineers to deliver results in a timely manner.
