    Job Brief

    Responsible for conducting testing procedures across the three stages of production (before, in-process, and final) to ensure quality levels comply with the Department of Defense and/or Aerospace Quality Standards.


    Responsibilities


    • Inspect parts and equipment using an open plate setup using granite plate measuring parts.
    • Ensure product meets established quality standards visually and dimensionally.
    • Execute existing CMM Programs to include troubleshooting program to ensure the integrity of the measurements.
    • Double-check nonconformance properly using alternate measuring methods if necessary.
    • Analyze trial products during development and test finished goods.
    • Record and analyze inspection results in order to decide whether to certify or reject specific products.
    • Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards.
    • Maintain paperwork and quality documents in a manner that is successful to auditing checks.
    • Demonstrate working knowledge of ISO work instructions.
    • Ensure equipment is calibrated, validated and maintained properly and ensure safety during operation of equipment.


    Requirements


    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
    • Specific technical or vocational training preferred, but not required.
    • Minimum of 5-8 years of inspection and production experience in a manufacturing environment required.
    • 5+ years of quality assurance/control experience required with no formal education/training received.
    • Experience executing CMM Programs required.
    • Advanced blueprint reading and granite plate measuring skills required.
    • Basic understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GDT) and ERP systems.
