Job Brief

 This IT Field Technician will be responsible for managing installations and repairs for workstation and network systems. Duties will include responding to maintenance requests regarding system defects and other issues, troubleshooting problems with workstations or network systems by running tests, and maintaining inventory for computer hardware. Provide technical support to our customers as well as advise and support Sales with technical pre-and post-sales expertise. You will work across a vast array of networking technologies including Windows, Linux, Switching, Routing, Wi-Fi, DSL, FTTH, Cloud, and Security.

 Responsibilities

• Install software, workstations, networks, connections, and cabling
• Troubleshoot workstation system and network failures
• Correct problems in the LAN/WLAN infrastructure, including configuring and testing software
• Maintain and repair hardware including workstations, peripherals, and infrastructure devices
• Provide technical direction, support, and training to customers on systems and network
• Work with vendors to get needed equipment and services onsite

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience in IT workstations and networking to include Windows, switching, and routing. Specific knowledge with the following:
• MS Windows and MS M365
• TCP/IP stack and networking protocols that include OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, RSVP, LDP, EVPN
• Analytically creative; adept at resolving complex technical problems
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
• Willing to travel as required 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications 

• Experience in Cisco’s product line and technologies
• Experience with Juniper’s product line and technologies
• CompTIA A+ and Microsoft certifications
