Job Description

Fabricate aluminum boats in spec with departmental production schedule.

Key Responsibilities, Knowledge and skills for success in this position:

• Read tape measure to accurately perform job assignment.
• Skill and ability to cut simple parts from patterns with supervision.
• Keep a clean and safe work area.
• Basic understanding of power tools and equipment needed for fabrication.
• Ability to select proper material thickness and alloy with supervision.
• Safely operate all power tools and equipment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to apply mathematical operations ie; fractions, percentages rations and proportions.
• Ability to define problems, establish facts, collect data and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures and basic drawings.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Wearing of company provided personal protection equipment.
• Ability to effectively communicate information to team members and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1 year or less experience in fabrication or demonstrated ability to perform essential duties.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Frequent reaching with arms and hands.
• Bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
• Walk, climb and balance frequently.
• Frequent lifting and moving of 50 pounds or more.
• Close vision focus, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• This is a safety-sensitive position.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The factory in certain areas maintains a high aluminum and dust environment.

Personal Protective Equipment might be required in certain areas of the factory, including but not limited to safety glasses, respirators, hearing protection, gloves, and protective garments.
