About the Role:

Clem's Seafood is looking for a friendly and reliable Seafood Market Cashier to join our team in beautiful Southport, NC! This is a great opportunity to be part of a local seafood market where you'll interact with customers daily and help deliver a fresh, welcoming experience. If you love seafood, community, and fast-paced retail environments, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Process customer transactions accurately using a point-of-sale (POS) system

Greet and assist customers with product questions and seafood selections

Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with accuracy and accountability

Maintain a clean and organized checkout and front-of-store area

Assist with stocking, labeling, and displaying fresh seafood and market products

Communicate daily specials, promotions, and product availability to customers

Support team members during peak hours and high-volume rushes

Requirements:

Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred

Basic math skills and comfort handling cash transactions

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment

Comfortable working around fresh seafood and related products

Reliable, punctual, and a team-oriented attitude

Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
