SUMMARY

Northline Seafoods is seeking Seafood Processors for the 2025 Puget Sound pink salmon season, with the potential for continued full-time, year-round employment in Bellingham, WA (September through May). Seafood Processors will work onboard our 400-foot salmon freezing barge and rotate through various production tasks outlined below. This is a 3-week seasonal position.

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

• Sorting & Freezing: Operate fish elevators to move salmon from holding tanks to freezer lines. Assist with sorting, loading freezer belts, tagging fish, and related tasks.

• Case Up & Cold Storage: Build tote boxes, package frozen salmon, weigh totes, and move finished products into cold storage using pallet jacks.

• Inventory Management: Assist with lot code tracking, label creation, and product tallying.

• Quality Control: Perform visual inspections, quality sorting, and ensure proper sanitization of processing areas.
  Forklift Operations: Candidates with forklift experience may assist with moving and stacking totes in cold storage freezers.

• General Support: Participate in daily cleaning of the barge and production areas and take on additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Ability to work and stand for long hours (up to 16 hours/day, seven days a week).
• Comfortable working in cold, wet environments for extended periods.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions including bending, lifting, squatting, and twisting.
• Able to climb multiple flights of stairs and navigate confined spaces.
• Previous seafood or production experience is a plus (training provided).
• Must regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs and occasionally more.
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow directions, and adhere to safety requirements. Some positions may require reading and writing skills.
