Job Summary: The Estimator will play a crucial role in providing accurate cost estimates for print projects and maintaining strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the printing industry, including knowledge of offset, bindery, large format and signage, apparel, and promotional items. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential for this role, as the Estimator will be responsible for job entry, customer management, and maintaining client satisfaction. Responsibilities: * Analyze and interpret job specifications, including project requirements and design files, to generate accurate cost estimates for printing projects. * Evaluate and calculate costs for offset, bindery, large format and signage, apparel, and promotional items based on material, labor, and equipment requirements. * Collaborate with the sales team, production staff, and vendors to ensure accurate pricing and delivery timelines. * Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing outstanding customer service through effective communication, timely responses, and proactive problem-solving. * Enter job specifications into the company's estimating software, ensuring all necessary information is captured for accurate cost analysis and job tracking. * Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's capabilities, equipment, and production processes to provide clients with the most cost-effective and efficient solutions for their printing needs. * Continuously monitor and evaluate industry trends and developments, adjusting estimates and processes accordingly to maintain a competitive edge. * Assist in negotiating contracts and agreements with clients and vendors, ensuring that both parties needs are met. * Coordinate with the production team to ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget. * Participate in regular meetings with the sales team, providing updates on job status, client feedback, and opportunities for growth. Qualifications: * Experience in print management, graphic arts, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the printing industry. * 3-5 years of experience in estimating and/or print production, with a strong background in offset, bindery, large format and signage, apparel, and promotional items. * Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and estimating software. * Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex information. * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Knowledge of current industry trends and a commitment to staying up-to-date on new developments.
