  • Responsibilities

    The HR GENERALIST (TEMP) is a key team-player that supports the operations and processes of our HR department. This position has a strong focus on Talent Acquisition (Recruiting), Employee Onboarding, Performance Management and HR Compliance. This position works under the supervision of Senior Vice President, HR.

    • Manages recruiting and hiring process by coordinating job postings on company website and other online platforms, social recruiting, attending networkers, reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, performing interviews, seeking reference checks / background checks, and delivering offer letters
    • Handles the coordination of interviews, writing tests, reference requests for candidates
    • Maintains candidate pipeline fully updated
    • Responsible for overall development of recruiting content
    • Creates and edits all job descriptions as requested, while also maintaining them as up-to-date as possible
    • Updates and maintains HR platforms, portals, SharePoint (HR Site), Career Website and others
    • Responsible for developing employee communications programs and related content such as employee referral communications, notifications of open positions to staff
    • Oversees employee’s biographies and profiles – ensures that personnel is updated on company website
    • Administers and conducts Onboarding Journey for new hires including but not limited to reviewing of the onboarding workflow, assuring tasks are being completed on-time, checkpoints, onboarding surveys, promotional materials, office buddy check-ins
    • Maintains and updates on HRIS - ADP
    • Responsible for all Employee Communications such as Welcomes, On the Move, and Promotion announcements
    • Ensures HR compliance of employee’s I9s, Employee Agreements and regulatory labor posters
    • Supports Performance Management Cycle including Top Newlinker tool, KPI/Expectations, Check-Ins, reminder communications to staff
    • Supervises employee Paid Time Off (PTO) process, leave of absence on database as well as communication with supervisors
    • Handles all employee related benefits collecting medical insurance enrollments of new hires
    • Responsible for all of HR Social Media efforts and management of networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube
    • Responsible for managing Employer Branding initiatives to include tracking and monitoring platforms such as LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and others
    • Handles all of HR legal matters such as VISAs, while maintaining a relationship with our VISA legal counsel
    • Handles all of employee relations, providing coaching to employees, managers, leaders when needed
    • Performs other duties or HR projects as required such as support in Learning (Newlink Academy), making sure the learning calendar is being followed

    Required Skills

    • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and Spanish
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Specifically, Word, Excel and Power Point.
    • Great customer service skills are a must with proven ability of building good interpersonal relationships with people across the organization
    • Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofreading materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
    • Knowledge of HRIS applications such as ADP Resource, SilkRoad Office Suite
    • Must be extremely detailed oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Knowledge of HR functions and office administration procedures
    • Excellent telephone and oral communication skills
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field
    • 2-3 years of Human Resources experience
    • HR and staffing/recruiting experience required
    • Must be fully bilingual – English and Spanish
    • ADP Resource experience
    • Well-versed in Social Media and audiovisual productions
    • Experience implementing and managing HR software, SilkRoad Life Suite a plus
    • Availability for a six-months assignment
