Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, provides Cyber Security services and cutting-edge technologies to the Federal Government. SealingTech is looking for an experienced and talented Software Engineer to help drive the development of a High-Performance Computing (HPC) solution.

The Security Enhanced Information Sharing (SEIS) mission area is looking for a motivated Software Engineer. SEIS provides solutions that allow our government to securely share information. As part of our agile team, you will contribute to managing complex computer infrastructures containing hardware, operating systems, and application architectures.

As a Software Engineer II, you will participate in all aspects of solution development including design and problem solving, scripting, programming, integration, code reviews, testing, documentation, and demonstrations. You will attend daily standup status meetings and contribute to sprint planning and closeout demonstrations. You will learn and use multiple programming languages, Linux distributions, and development tools.

The ideal candidate is expected to be proficient in at least one programming language, development tool, and a Linux distribution.

Minimum Qualifications:

• US Citizen
• 3 years of experience with Python
• REST API development and DB backend experience
• Familiar with software development lifecycle concepts and secure coding practices
• Comfortable using the Linux CLI
• Familiar with Git and at least one build tool
• Familiar with unit and functional tests
• Capable of contributing to design and architecture discussions, and capable of assisting with identifying user stories and defining backlog items
• Good communication skills with the team
• Able to complete tasks within the expected amount of time
• Has a good grasp on when to ask for help and when to continue their research independently
• General understanding of security concepts such as least privilege, authorization, authentication, confidentiality, and integrity

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:

• Active Secret DoD clearance or the ability to obtain one
• A working knowledge of other programming or scripting languages
• Experience with SELinux policy development
• Experience with full-stack Web development
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Knowledge of HPC
• Knowledge of Ansible
• Trusted to work with customers with supervision
