Job Description
THE HR & OPERATIONS SPECIALIST IS THE PRIMARY PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL OF SEAMGEN’S RECRUITING EFFORTS, AND HANDLES MANY VARIOUS HR AND OPERATIONS TASKS. THIS POSITION IS CURRENTLY REMOTE AND WILL REQUIRE SOMEONE WITH GREAT DISCIPLINE IN COMPLETING TASKS INDEPENDENTLY AND WITH PROACTIVE AND TRANSPARENT COMMUNICATION. ALTHOUGH REMOTE, THIS ROLE REQUIRES SOMEONE LOCAL TO SAN DIEGO AND ABLE TO RUN MISCELLANEOUS ERRANDS.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
RECRUITING: RESPONSIBLE FOR RECRUITING PROCESS FROM BEGINNING TO END. FACILITATES RECRUITING EFFORTS FOR THE MANAGEMENT AND HIRING TEAMS. MUST BE FAMILIAR WITH RECRUITING PRACTICES AND ABLE TO REVIEW RESUMES FOR VARIOUS ENGINEERING ROLES TO IDENTIFY FITTING CANDIDATES. CONDUCTS PRE-SCREEN CALLS AND SCHEDULES INTERVIEWS WITH HIRING MANAGERS. KEEPS SEAMGEN’S RECRUITING PLATFORM AND FILES UP TO DATE.
TECHNICAL: MUST HAVE SOME TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE TO PERFORM PRE-SCREEN INTERVIEWS WITH INCOMING ENGINEERING CANDIDATES. WILL BE ADMIN FOR MOST OF SEAMGEN’S SOFTWARES AND MUST BE COMFORTABLE LEARNING AND NAVIGATING ADMINISTRATOR FUNCTIONS OF THOSE TOOLS.
HR: ONBOARDING & OFFBOARDING, MANAGING EMPLOYEE RECORDS, ENFORCING EMPLOYMENT POLICIES, MONITORING TIMESHEETS, MONITORING EMPLOYEE PTO, ETC.
ADMINISTRATIVE: DATA ENTRY IN SEAMGEN’S VARIOUS SYSTEMS, WEEKLY REPORTING TO VARIOUS TEAMS,
ACT AS ASSISTANT TO DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS AND PRESIDENT OF COMPANY
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
ORGANIZE FILES/DOCUMENTS ON GOOGLE DRIVE
ORGANIZE AND MANAGE EMPLOYEE RECORDS AND ENSURE ALL NEW HIRE PAPERWORK IS COMPLETED
ASSIST WITH INTERNAL COMMUNICATION WITH THE STAFF
TRACK SEAMGEN’S OFFICE EQUIPMENT INVENTORY, LOG ALL DEVICES AND FACILITATE ORDERS FOR THE STAFF, PREPARE COMPUTER EQUIPMENT FOR NEW EMPLOYEES
ANSWER PHONE SYSTEM AND RELAY MESSAGES TO TEAM MEMBERS
ASSIST DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS IN EVENT PLANNING FOR OFFICE TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES AND OTHER COMPANY EVENTS
SCHEDULE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS FOR EMPLOYEES AND CONFERENCE REGISTRATION/PREPARATION
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE IN RECRUITING ENVIRONMENT REQUIRED
MUST HAVE SUPERIOR WRITING AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND BE EXTREMELY DETAIL ORIENTED
STRONG INTERPERSONAL SKILLS AND THE ABILITY TO WORK IN A TEAM SETTING
ABILITY TO MULTITASK AND PRIORITIZE SEVERAL TASKS SIMULTANEOUSLY
MUST BE ABLE TO COMPLETE ASSIGNED TASKS INDEPENDENTLY AND WITHOUT DIRECT SUPERVISION
MUST BE ABLE TO TAKE INITIATIVE AND PROACTIVELY ADDRESS ITEMS THAT NEED ATTENTION
ABILITY TO HANDLE SENSITIVE AND CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION WITH DISCRETION REQUIRED
