Job Description
PAYROLL STAFF will receive multi-state payroll from branch offices in order to process, calculate and distribute payroll for employees nationwide, and address questions for all levels of management regarding this processing
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Process and distribute staff payroll checks in a timely and accurate manner and responds to questions regarding these checks.
§ Respond to inquiries from branches and associates on payroll issues.
§ Run various payroll reports, and distributes payroll and commission activity reports.
§ Cross-Trained to transmit all direct deposit and positive pay files to the bank for several corporations in a timely fashion.
§ Cross-Trained to assist with staff garnishment.
`JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
§ 2 to 3+ years of payroll processing experience. Multi-state payroll experience desired, and in-house payroll processing experience preferred.
§ Solid understanding of federal, state and other regulatory authorities regarding wage and labor law
§ Numbers oriented and strong attention to detail.
§ Good customer service skills.
§ Ability to focus, meets deadlines, and works well with management.
§ Self motivated, and a team player who thrives in a strong team environment.
§ Working knowledge of Excel a plus, and working knowledge of Microsoft Word a must
