    Job Description

    Retail Marketing and Sales Manager in San Francisco

     

    This is a critical position that requires an individual who is a thought leader with clear communication and leadership abilities to bring scalability to products in a growth company.

     

    The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for driving the product marketing process from the product’s inception to the delivery to our consumers. Reporting to the Chief Merchandising Officer with input from the Brand Director they will translate the product insights into compelling actionable go to market strategies for our organization.  

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Working closely with our product team, lead the development of product messaging and positioning, driving competitive differentiation and innovation across the product category and brand.
    • Capture the essence and energy of the product creation process documenting the creative and innovation milestones that form the foundation of the “why we made it” storytelling.
    • Develop and implement the strategy for messaging (voice & tone), promotion and selling of our products
    • Technical Execution - Be responsible for putting together the go-to-market roadmap
    • Ensure brand voice, tone and visual look and feel are carried out cohesively across all channels
    • Develop a deep understanding of the voice/needs of our customer/prospect and partner with Product to influence future product development.
    • Drive amazing product launches to demonstrate distinct product innovation. Create and drive new revenue streams reinforcing our company as the innovation leader in performance hunting.
    • Bring new and updated products to market, taking the lead on launch strategy, planning, timelines and more to ensure maximum impact.
    • Develop compelling and easy to understand internally facing content for Sales, CS, Operations and other stakeholders. This includes sales training, positioning, FAQs, and all collateral for use on our website.
    • Partner with demand generation and digital to tell compelling stories that help build demand and drive revenue across our offerings and the entire product portfolio.

     

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5+ years of product marketing or related marketing experience in technical performance product or other related field
    • Excellent writing skills and a strong ability to translate technical advantages into customer benefits
    • Ability to work both at a strategic and tactical level in order to get the job done
    • Excellent organizational, presentation and writing skills and ability to successfully interact across functions at all levels of an organization and with customers
    • Must be a self-starter with proven ability to take initiative as well as balance competing priorities
    • Must have excellent follow-through, be able to work with minimal direction, and balance the requirements of multiple stakeholders within an organization
