This is a fantastic opportunity for a sharp accountant looking to take the next step into a role that will challenge their analytical abilities. This position will be responsible for producing financial and explaining variances and anomalies by researching issues. Candidates from public accounting, corporate accounting, or cost accounting backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate month-end closing, general ledger, reconciliations, and monthly financial statements preparation.
• Fixed assets ledger maintenance including advising business as to the proper treatment of assets in accordance with GAAP.
• Review and post sales invoices, prepare and analyze journal entries, analysis of proper revenue treatment in accordance with GAAP.
• Variance analysis, acting as the point of contact for regional leadership in explaining fluctuations in revenue and expenses.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Advanced degrees welcomed
• Strong general ledger and GAAP understanding.
• Strong Excel skills
• Communication skills are paramount as you consult regularly with the business
• Process and project oriented as you’ll be setting up new processes and controls; implementing efficiencies to save time and money.
