    Job Description

    Fast growing International Chemical Distribution Company headquartered in Suwanee, GA is expanding and looking to add an experienced Logistics Account Representative to the team. LAST FISCAL YEAR THIS ORGANIZATION GREW 60% AND WAS NAMED SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR OUT OF 30,000 SUPPLIERS. THIS IS A HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT - CURRENTLY WORK FROM HOME BUT WILL TRANSITION TO 3 DAYS PER WEEK WORK FROM HOME / 2 DAYS IN OFFICE. CLOSE TO CUMMING AND GWINNETT COUNTY

    The Account Representative is responsible for customer interaction and order fulfillment activities. Key responsibilities include taking orders, ensuring that all orders are entered into company systems and fulfilled according to documented processes. This includes working with various suppliers and 3rd parties to purchase, ship, clear store and deliver the correct material in accordance with customer specifications. Communicates with new and existing customers to develop rapport and better understand product needs, requesting usage information and forecasting demand and maintaining appropriate safety stock in warehouses in accordance with guidelines established by management. The Account Representative uses discretion and judgment to perform essential functions of the position.

    Receives and fulfills sales orders and maintains account relationships with appropriate roles with the assigned customers/products. Assist customers with ordering decisions using forecasts and historical purchase information. Properly account for, document and attribute to purchase orders or sales orders and expenses incurred in the process of order fulfillment. Follows processes in accordance with Quality Management System (ISO) Standard procedures. Monitor Stock Levels for assigned products and escalate to Purchasing when minimum stock level quantities are reached. Provide recommendations for adjusting stock levels based on forecasts from customers/purchasing patterns.

    Identifies incremental sales opportunities within existing customer base. Update and provide concise, weekly operations reports regarding sales, supply disruption, stock level quantities, etc. Provide other on-time reports, analysis and recommendations at management’s request. Track quality objectives in accordance with stated ISO procedures.

    Resolves questions, requests, and problems promptly and courteously. Keeps customers informed of company policies, procedures, and status of their orders and accounts. Politely obtains and conveys information as needed. Provides superior customer service.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Requires a minimum of one year of logistics industry and customer service experience
    • Proficiency with MS Office

    Proficiency with web based applications including internet /email

    • Strong attention to detail
    • Collaborative, non-aggressive but assertive manner – eager to help other members of the team with their tasks
    • Ability to prioritize responsibilities in alignment with Company objectives, manage time effectively and meet deadlines accordingly
    • Demonstrated tenacious results-oriented attitude
    • Excellent follow up and organizational skills
