Job Description

JOB PURPOSE: Supports customers and outside sales representatives by preparing bids, entering detailed orders for processing, tracking job/project progression and resolving issues.

DUTIES:

• Develop customer relationships by consulting with and providing solutions to customers on a wide variety of product and service needs.
• This position is mainly inside sales via telephone, fax and email. However, this person, when needed, will visit customers.
• Maintains quality service by enforcing organization standards.
• Resolves order issues by investigating data and history; identifying alternate means for filling orders; notifying managers and customers.
• Provides product, promotion, and pricing information by clarifying customer needs; selecting appropriate information; forwarding information; answering questions.
• Forwards samples by entering request; arranging shipment; notifying customer.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 years in fast paced environment with direct customer contact.
• Strong computer skills are a must, particularly demonstrable experience in Windows environment and with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel…etc.)
• Previous knowledge of building material and millwork strongly preferred.
