Seasonal Event Staff
POSITION SUMMARY: The Mattapoisett YMCA is hiring Seasonal Event Staff to support our Shining Tides Wedding & Events team. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in event staff, hospitality, facilities support, or wedding venue operations.
Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent guest support.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct guests to parking areas and coordinate bus drop-offs
Assist with event setup and breakdown (tables, chairs, event spaces)
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout events
Monitor facilities and handle basic maintenance needs
Secure buildings and grounds after events
Provide general event support to ensure smooth operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in events, hospitality, or facilities is a plus
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Strong communication and customer service skills
Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
Must be able to work evenings and weekends
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs (tables, chairs, equipment)
Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
Seasonal (June through August) 20-25 hrs/week; Afternoon / Evenings (Friday, Saturday, occasional Sundays)
