JOB TITLE: Seasonal Groundskeeper

REPORTS TO: Golf Course Superintendent / Assistant Superintendents

SCHEDULE: Seasonal, Full-Time (early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required)

COMPENSATION: Hourly (overtime opportunities available)

Burning Tree Country Club seeks hardworking, dependable, and detail-oriented Seasonal Groundskeepers to join our Golf Course Maintenance team. This role assists with daily care, conditioning, and presentation of the golf course to ensure exceptional playing conditions for our Members and guests.

This is a hands-on position that works outdoors in all aspects of golf course maintenance. Seasonal Groundskeepers play a critical role in maintaining the high standards and pristine conditions that define Burning Tree Country Club.

As a Seasonal Groundskeeper, you contribute directly to the quality and playability of the golf course.

The Essentials (Core Responsibilities)

• Assist with daily golf course setup, including tee markers, hole locations, and course accessories

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, raking bunkers, and debris removal

• Maintain greens, fairways, roughs, and surrounding landscape areas

• Assist with irrigation monitoring and basic adjustments

• Support agronomic practices such as aerification, topdressing, seeding, and fertilization

• Operate and maintain golf course equipment safely and efficiently

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance facilities and equipment

• Assist with special projects and course improvements as assigned

The Standards

Education & Experience

• Previous golf course, landscaping, or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required

• Interest in turf management or outdoor work environments is a plus

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently

• Strong work ethic and reliability

• Basic mechanical awareness (equipment operation experience preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods

• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds

• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and walking
