The Operations Department is seeking Seasonal Landscapers to help maintain the beautiful grounds of the Eastern States Exposition campus. This position supports the grounds crew in creating and maintaining an attractive, well-kept landscape across one of New England’s most recognizable event spaces.

This is a seasonal position running immediately through mid-November , with both full-time and part-time hours available depending on weather and workload. Hours are 7am-3:30pm at a rate of $15 per hour.

Priority consideration will be given to current high school and college students seeking hands-on outdoor work experience. Students currently in school will begin work during their spring breaks and resume in May/June when they are out for the summer.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, being active, and contributing to the upkeep of a large and vibrant campus that hosts events throughout the year, including the renowned The Big E.

Position Responsibilities

Seasonal Landscapers assist the grounds crew with a variety of landscape maintenance and outdoor labor tasks, including:

• Mowing lawns and trimming edges along walkways, flower beds, and walls
• Pruning shrubs and small trees using hand tools
• Raking and blowing leaves
• Planting grass, flowers, and shrubs
• Watering lawns and landscaped areas
• Assisting with seasonal tasks such as snow shoveling and salting walkways as needed
• Operating equipment such as walk-behind or riding mowers, snow blowers, rototillers, hedge trimmers, and other hand-held tools
• Assisting with additional groundskeeping and general labor duties as needed to support campus operations

Position Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
• Valid driver’s license preferred, reliable transportation required
• Ability to work weekends and occasional extended hours when needed
• Reliable, motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
