We are looking to hire a Maintenance Assistant to join our team!
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
We are growing and are looking for an individual who has the ability to continually adjust to change, drive to make a difference, and desire to improve. The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate residence maintenance services and keep the residence and grounds in good repair in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Building and Grounds Maintenance:
- Basic carpentry, painting, grounds, and preventative maintenance
- Follow maintenance schedule/instructions as outlined in the established maintenance policies and procedures.
- Maintain grounds. Coordinator lawn service, snow removal service, and other outdoor grounds services as needed.
- Assist with resident move-ins and move-outs.
- Prepare resident apartments/rooms for new residents.
- Must be able to ensure prompt repair/response time for daily maintenance requests
- All other duties as assigned
Safety and Sanitation:
- Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a safe and attractive manner.
- Ensure compliance with all codes, OSHA and residence policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of one year general maintenance experience
- Desire to work with older adults
- Strong organization and time management
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
To fulfill job requirements, employee must be able to perform key physical tasks for extended periods of time. Proper body mechanics and safety measures as prescribed by the residence must be used. In a typical eight-hour day, the employee will:
- Stand/walk up to eight hours
- Frequently support up to 70 pounds
- Frequently life/carry up to 50 pounds
- Frequently kneel, bend, and reach
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience working in a senior living community
- Safety and fire codes
- OSHA, MSDS Sheets
- Understanding of systems and basic repairs
