Seasonal Operations Helper (Route / Recycling Facility)
Location: Northern Nevada

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as Seasonal Operations Helpers supporting both Route Operations and a Recycling/Material Processing Facility.
This role is highly dynamic and will support multiple operational areas based on daily business needs. Employees may be assigned to work on collection routes, assist with yard waste operations, or work within the recycling facility. Flexibility and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this position.
Work Environment & Assignment
- Daily assignments and schedules are determined by operations leadership
- Work may include:
- Route-based collection support
- Yard waste / grapple truck operations
- Recycling facility (sorting and processing)
- Assignments may change weekly or daily based on operational demand
Key Responsibilities
Route Helper / Yard Waste Support
- Assist drivers with waste collection and yard waste pickup
- Support grapple truck operations as needed
- Safely service containers and assist with material collection
- Help maintain safe work zones, including backing and spotting
- Communicate effectively with drivers and team members
- Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements at all times
- Identify and report safety concerns
Recycling Facility (Sorter)
- Sort recyclable materials on designated processing lines
- Remove contaminants and maintain quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Assist with facility clean-up and general duties
- Participate in cross-training and support various assignments
Additional Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs
- Support team operations in a safe and efficient manner
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Strong teamwork and adaptability
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50+ lbs
- Perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods
- Work in outdoor and/or industrial environments (heat, cold, dust, noise, odors)
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
Compensation & Schedule
- $20.00/hour (non-exempt)
- Overtime, meal periods, and rest breaks provided in accordance with state law
Seasonal Employment Details
- This is a temporary seasonal role ending October 30, 2026
- Employment is at-will
- Schedule and hours may vary based on operational needs
