    DESCRIPTION

    We are looking for a leader who will take ownership of the development, planning, and implementation of lab processes and operations. The Lab Manager is responsible for scaling clinical lab operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, cultivating team members, and identifying improvements while working with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, engineers, and administrative staff.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    Refine current lab process through continuous improvement projects

    Oversee team-specific lab operation

    Go-to person for knowledge of process and product

    Ensure departmental lab compliance for regulatory bodies

    Ensure tests are being completed according to approved procedures

    Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work area for the team

    Analyze and troubleshoot lab processing errors

    Actively interact with interdepartmental teams such as Operations, Care Coordinators, Clinicians, and Engineering

    Engage in future planning and scale employees and equipment appropriately

    Meet regularly with Supervisors to discuss goals and progress

    Responsible for performance review of direct reports

    Develop high-performing employees by providing them with learning opportunities, cross-training opportunities, and new challenges whenever possible

    Ensure adequate staffing to meet patient needs

    Build for scale, make sure labs ops and safety concepts can be easily duplicated at multiple locations

    Manage the onboarding program for direct reports

    Plan and lead team meetings

    Conduct the basic functions of a phlebotomist (see patients) as needed

    Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Leadership

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Fully vaccinated against COVID-19

    Active California CPT-1 or higher

    At least 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting

    Management or team lead experience preferred
