Position Summary Bank operations are the critical, behind-the-scenes processes that ensure the accurate handling and reporting of transactions to support exceptional client service. From handling the closing and fulfillment of loans to processing payments to resolving client issues, effective and efficient bank operations are essential to safe and sound financial management, client service and regulatory compliance. At Seattle Bank, we are working hard to rethink bank operations, utilizing our cloud-based, open core technology to partner with FinTechs that can not only create more seamless processes and higher quality service, but also enable us to offer more personalized products and services. Bank operations is an exciting field of rapid change, as automation and new technologies allow banks to become more cost efficient and deliver personalized services that empower the clients. As a participant in our Operations Training Program, you will be participating in a forward-thinking Program that will provide you with an overview of the financial services industry, emerging trends in FinTech, and the role and approach of Seattle Bank, and the various products and services we offer. You will gain exposure to different operational areas within the Bank, including Client Experience, Treasury Management, Bank Operations, Credit Administration, and Loan Operations. You will gain an understanding of the role of technology in banking and the changing landscape of banking as it moves from a branch-based system to digital applications. At the end of the program, you will be prepared for your first operations position with Seattle Bank and begin to launch your career! Program Responsibilities -You will rotate (spending a month in each area) through the following operational areas of the Bank: Client Experience, Treasury Management, Bank Operations, Credit Administration, and Loan Operations. During your rotations, you will receive assignments to broaden your banking knowledge as well as observe the day-to-day responsibilities of the different operational areas. You will also assist the operational teams with all aspects of their daily activities including processing daily workflow. -You will attend monthly presentations to learn about the other areas of the Bank including Finance/Accounting, Investor Relations, Marketing, Community Relations, Audit/Compliance, Sales/Relationship Management and Information Technology. -During the Program, you will be assigned an Executive level mentor that will help you navigate through the Program and serve as a great resource of information as you begin your career. -You will have the opportunity to attend (either virtually or in person) a Financial Technology conference during your first year of employment with Seattle Bank. -Complete departmental duties/project(s) as assigned. Other Information: -The Program will begin in September 2021 and culminate in January 2022. You will be placed in your first assignment in February 2022.
