    Secberus, Inc. is a fast growing Software-as-a-Service provider of an enterprise-class Cloud Governance platform. Our software is applicable to a wide range of business functions, although we have initially focused on cloud security and compliance. We are headquartered in Miami, FL with staff working remotely across the USA. We're looking for motivated and exceptional people to continue building our great team. 

    JOB DETAILS

    The Security Engineer will set up and maintain necessary security practices and tooling for the Secberus environments while continuously monitoring for any signs of security breaches within our organization. In this role you will report to the CTO and will work with the other engineering teams to teach about secure programming practices and enforce secure coding standards across the organization. This position will work directly with the executive team to report on any and all security findings, changes and progress.The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded, open-minded & experienced Security Engineer in the Cloud Security space, who has strong relationship building skills and enjoys learning about new technology. You will be comfortable speaking at all levels of the organization and not be afraid to ask questions that lead to better understanding of our security practices.

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Setup and maintain necessary security practices and tooling.

    • Continuously monitor for any signs of security breaches.

    • Work with our internal departments to teach about secure programming practices and enforce secure coding standards within the organization.

    • Perform periodic external security scans and vulnerability assessments of the Secberus environments.

    • Perform periodic internal security scans of the Secberus environments

    • Coordinate with 3rd party penetration testing firms for periodic vulnerability assessments.

    • Maintain all network and application firewall rule sets.

    • Enforce a “least privilege” policy for all system access controls.

    • Maintain the corporate VPN access policies.

    • Report on any and all security findings, changes and progress to the executive team.

    • Run monthly security meetings.

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience securing AWS environments

    • 2-3 years of security engineering experience

    • Ability to work in a dynamic, agile environment

    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

    • Must thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment

    NICE TO HAVE

    • Startup experience

    • Experience working in remote environment
