Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, required
- A California Education Specialist Credential (mild/mod); PIP/STSP/waivers will be considered
- Familiarity with and/or the ability to learn SIRUS, IEP writing, and Special Ed Reporting Software
- Familiarity with and/or the ability to learn RTI, co-teaching, collaboration, Push-In, Pull-out, Learning Lab Intervention, and small-group teaching models
- Demonstrated mastery of classroom skills, including classroom management, planning, assessment, and instructional practice
- Proficiency with various technologies and teaching tools
- Bilingual ability preferred
** Skills, Knowledge** :
- Preparing and implementing lesson plans that lead to student understanding based on state standards
- Providing an effective learning environment that reflects and facilitates student achievement
- Assessing student progress and maintaining accurate records
- Writing and conducting IEPs and facilitating IEP meetings
- Proctoring Formal Assessments
- Updating service logs and files
- Communicating with partnering agencies
- Participating in SST Meetings
- Maintaining frequent communication with students, students' families, colleagues, and leadership
- Participating regularly in professional development opportunities
- Appropriately communicating and interacting with other professional staff in academic planning and school committee work.
- Attending and participating in staff meetings, and extra-curricular/school-related activities, and committees.
- Demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional growth and working with administrators to formulate and complete professional development plans.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and demonstrating behavior that is conscientious and responsible.
** Working Conditions:**
- Environment: School environment; fast-paced work, constant interruptions.
- Physical requirements: Hearing and speaking to exchange information, make presentations and communicate over the telephone; seeing to read, prepare, and proofread documents and view computer monitors; sitting or standing for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment; kneeling, bending at the waist, and reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, to retrieve and store files and supplies; lifting light objects; ability to go to sites apart from primary office to conduct business.
_ Pay Range: $68,969.96 - $113,824.10_ . Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
