    Overview :

    INTECON LLC is seeking a highly organized and professional Secretary II to provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support for the Federal Protective Service (FPS) Region 9 mission in support of federal facilities across California and Arizona. The Secretary II will perform a wide range of executive and office administration functions including correspondence management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, records control, and data entry in support of FPS program offices and leadership.

    This role is an ideal fit for a detail-oriented administrative professional who thrives in a mission-driven federal environment and is committed to delivering timely, accurate, and professional support to government customers.

    Roles and Responsibilities :

    • Provide clerical and administrative support to FPS Region 9 leadership and staff, including document preparation, filing, and correspondence tracking.
    • Maintain office calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate conference calls and video conferences.
    • Receive, review, and distribute incoming correspondence and task assignments to appropriate staff.
    • Prepare draft letters, reports, and spreadsheets for internal and external distribution.
    • Track and update status of open actions and taskers in FPS task management systems.
    • Assist with travel coordination and expense report preparation using agency systems.
    • Maintain electronic and physical records in accordance with DHS records management policies.
    • Greet visitors and answer phones in a professional manner, routing calls and messages appropriately.
    • Support office logistics such as supply orders, mail distribution, and meeting room setup.
    • Handle sensitive and confidential information in accordance with government standards.

    Clearance Requirement:

    • Must pass Tier-1 Background Investigation to obtain DHS Public Trust Suitability.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma, equivalent, or higher (required).
    • At least one (1) year of administrative or clerical support experience in a federal, corporate, or professional office environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, track deadlines, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced setting.
    • Professional demeanor and customer-service mindset when interacting with federal personnel and contract staff.
    • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability/Public Trust determination.
