    Job Description

    *At Securian Financial the internal position title is Internal Sales Sr. Analyst.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    An Internal Wholesaler's goal is to grow our overall sales results in multiple distribution channels. They are measured by the sales results and activity generated, mainly through proactive telephone calls, plan analytics, and proposal design. These individuals are business partners with our External Wholesalers and work closely with them to develop and execute business plans to achieve results.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Create and identify sales opportunities through proactive and follow-up sales calls for Qualified Retirement Plans and Individual Annuities.
    • Work closely with External Wholesaler for assigned territory. Provide sales and follow-up support via telephone.
    • Provide advisors with sales/marketing concepts and ideas.
    • Communicate effectively to external and internal customers by answering incoming calls, asking appropriate questions and accurately disseminating information about Qualified Plans or Individual Annuities.
    • Analyze competitors' data and provide conservation support.
    • Deliver clear, convincing and well-organized telephone sales presentations.
    • Utilize systems, technology and tools to track activities, fulfill requests and provide advisor data through appropriate databases.
    • Profile new advisor relationships to target the appropriate prospects.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Demonstrated sales experience and success in case management and support.
    • Confidence, self-motivation, and passion for achieving big goals.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
    • Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Excellent planning and organization skills to handle multiple assignments and requests simultaneously, including the ability to prioritize tasks with conflicting deadlines.
    • Ability to obtain FINRA SIE, 6 and 63 and Life/Health/Variable Annuity licenses within 6 months. In addition to FINRA exams, fingerprinting and background checks are conducted.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Successful track record in a 4-year degree program.
    • Qualified Retirement Plans or Individual Annuities knowledge.

    PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week

    • Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 1-4 hours per day

    • Ability to utilize telephone for approximately 6-8 hours per day

    • Ability to perform simple grasping including handwriting, paper manipulation, sorting, folding, etc. periodically throughout entire workday
