About the role
Wynndalco is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Security Camera Technician to join our team. This critical role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of security surveillance systems on buses
Responsibilities:
Install surveillance cameras, wiring, and associated equipment on buses according to technical and safety standards.
Maintain all security camera systems by performing regular inspections, system checks, and preventative care.
Diagnose and repair issues with camera hardware, recording devices, power sources, and data connections.
Document installations, and repairs
Ensure systems are properly integrated with centralized monitoring platforms.
Includes running cables through conduit or raceway for aesthetic purpose
Read and mark using a tape measure accurately.
Can use power tools and other equipment
A person that can use a leveling device to ensure a straight mark for mounting of devices.
A person who is quality driven about his or her work
Candidate requirements
· High school diploma required; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, IT, or a related field preferred.
· 2+ years of experience installing and servicing security or surveillance systems (preferably in transit, automotive, or field service settings).
· Strong understanding of video surveillance systems, wiring standards, and electronic diagnostics.
· Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Valid Illinois driver’s license and clean driving record.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in tight or elevated spaces.
· Familiarity with basic networking concepts (IP cameras, data routing, etc.) is a plus.
· Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
· Excellent problem solving skills with a knack for troubleshooting technical issues

· 8 to 10 hours shift
· Day Shift CST
· Monday to Friday

· Associate (Preferred)
