ROLE DESCRIPTION:

You can have the best of both worlds as a SECURITY COMPLIANCE AUTOMATION DATA ENGINEER!

The GCS Security Compliance Automation program is developing a trailblazing method to continuously and proactively scan data centers around the world for compliance with security hardening policies, as well as the collection evidence for a multitude of external security audits.

The Security Compliance Data Engineer will be a critical member of the team and will help GCS meet the challenge of scaling cybersecurity with the exponential growth of SAP cloud services.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyzing and standardizing raw data coming from a variety of tools and systems
• Using programming skills to collect data from multiple sources, and bring these data together in a unified data set
• Creating and maintaining Security Compliance dashboards
• Ensuring accuracy, completeness a consistency of Compliance data for use in audits, mitigation activities, and reports

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• A general knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals, especially in the domain of Security and Risk Management
• A core understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, regulations, and standards such as the NIST CSF, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS
• A deep understanding of Cloud Computing and data centers
• Experience working with network equipment and virtual machines
• Good communications and presentation skills
• An ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies as well as shifting work priorities

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related field
• Experience working in either the Cybersecurity or Data Science fields
• Experience with the ELK (Elastic) stack
• Experience with the Python programming language
• Cybersecurity certifications such as Security+
