  • Responsibilities

    The Hotel security guards ensure the safety of guests, staff, and property by conducting regular patrols, monitoring surveillance systems (CCTV), controlling access points, and responding to emergencies. Key duties include de-escalating disturbances, escorting guests, preventing theft, and preparing incident reports to maintain a secure environment. Responsibilities: • Patrolling & Surveillance: Conducting regular, unpredictable patrols of the interior (hallways, guest floors) and exterior (parking lots, entrances) to identify hazards, unauthorized individuals, or security breaches. • Monitoring CCTV: Observing surveillance cameras from a command center to monitor activity, verify safety, and identify suspicious behavior. • Access Control & Guest Safety: Monitoring entry/exit points, checking guest credentials if necessary, and escorting guests, particularly intoxicated individuals, or to their rooms if requested. • Emergency Response: Acting as a first responder during incidents, such as medical emergencies, fires, or security threats. • Disturbance Resolution: Managing unruly guests, handling noise complaints, and de-escalating altercations. • Reporting & Documentation: Filling out detailed security logs and incident reports documenting all security-related activities. • Parking Security: Monitoring parking structures for vandalism, unauthorized vehicles, and ensuring proper lighting. • Collaboration: Working with local law enforcement if needed and cooperating with hotel staff, such as front desk and housekeeping, to ensure a safe environment. Qualifications: • Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with guests and staff. • Observation: High attention to detail for monitoring and spotting irregularities. • Calm Under Pressure: Ability to remain professional and effective in stressful situations. • Hospitality experience ideal. Compensation: $19 hourly
