Job Summary: This position provides a visual security presence and monitors physical security and safety of students, employees, visitors and facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide church ministries and Calvary Chapel Academy with security and safety support (Psalm 133:1) • Monitor the parking lots, especially during evening Bible studies dismissal times • Execute emergency procedures as needed and respond quickly to medical situations • Maintain a field notebook and accurate reports of any security related incidents • Offer measured and appropriate security support to staff working with students (1 Thessalonians 5:11) • Assist with the supervision and security of student drop-off and pick-up during school hours at Calvary Chapel Academy • Be familiar with Emergency Action Plan and Procedures for the CCM (church) and CCA (school) (1 Chronicles 9:22-23) • Interface with local law enforcement as needed (Matthew 5:9) • Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed to cover for other security personnel • Travel to other campuses as required for work and training • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor (Colossians 3:23)

Job Skills and Competencies: • Ability to stay calm in stressful situations, adapting to change and exercising discernment (2 Corinthians 9:8) • Must be able to handle large events and gatherings (1 Corinthians 14:33) • Possess the physical ability to walk, run, and respond to calls when necessary • Be able to write legibly and accurately to document personal reports and records • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills (1 Peter 4:10) • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word • Desire to protect people while keeping Christ as the center (Ephesians 4:3) • Capable of holding a state D and G license, as well as CPR and First Aid Certificate • Pass PA (physical assessment) test
