  • Responsibilities

    Position Summary

    As a Security Officer, you are responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and controlled environment for residents, visitors, clients, and staff. You will monitor premises, enforce policies, and respond to incidents while providing professional and courteous service at all times.

    • Please note that this security position is strictly an on-call role. Shifts are not guaranteed and will be assigned based on operational needs and availability. Candidates must be flexible and available to respond to scheduling requests as needed. This position does not include a fixed schedule or guaranteed minimum hours. *

    Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to the following:

    · Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security of the premises.

    · Control access points and verify identification of residents, visitors, and vendors.

    · Prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security risks.

    · Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.

    · Write detailed daily activity logs and incident reports.

    · Observe and report any suspicious activity or unsafe conditions.

    · Enforce property rules, regulations, and post orders.

    · Provide assistance and directions to residents, guests, and visitors.

    · Maintain communication with management, staff, and emergency services when needed.

    · Conduct routine inspections of the property and report maintenance or safety issues.

    · Ensure all safety procedures and emergency protocols are followed.

    · De-escalate conflicts and handle situations in a professional manner.

    · Remain alert and attentive at all times while on duty.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    · High school diploma or equivalent required.

    · Previous experience in security or related field preferred.

    · Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    · Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.

    · Strong observational and problem-solving skills.

    · Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

    · Ability to write clear and accurate reports.

    · Must be reliable, punctual, and responsible.

    · Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

    · Reliable transportation to and from assigned workplace.

    · Valid Class D License or ability to obtain required.

    Physical Requirements

    · Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

    · Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

    · Must be able to respond quickly to emergencies.
