    Job Summary

    We are seeking a professional and dependable Unarmed Security Officer to join our team at a residential apartment community in Hillsboro, Oregon.

    This is an observe-and-report position, focused on maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, guests, and property. Officers provide a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, and document/report incidents.

    The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm in dynamic environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    Conduct regular patrols of buildings, parking areas, and common spaces

    Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity

    Monitor entrances, exits, and overall property conditions

    Observe and report suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or policy violations

    Complete detailed daily activity reports (DARs) and incident reports

    Communicate effectively with property management and emergency services

    Enforce property rules in accordance with client guidelines

    Provide professional customer service to residents and guests

    Important Role Limitations

    This is an unarmed position

    Officers operate in a strictly observe-and-report capacity

    No physical enforcement or removal of individuals except in lawful self-defense

    No law enforcement authority (no arrests or investigations)

    (Aligned with contract scope: deterrence, observation, and reporting only)

    Qualifications

    Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred (not required)

    Valid Oregon DPSST Unarmed Security License (or ability to obtain)

    High school diploma or GED

    Strong report writing and communication skills

    Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

    Strong situational awareness and attention to detail

    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

    Must pass background check and drug screening

    Reliable transportation required
