JOB SUMMARY:
Performs essential security functions to ensure the facilities and property are a safe, secure and orderly environment for guests and shall operate such in accordance with the Gaming Code adopted by the Winnebago Gaming Commission and the Winnebago Tribal Council.
JOB DUTIES:
Performs regular casino duties according to established procedures, patrols and secures all areas of casino property, and maintains proper post assignments according to daily rotation schedule
Completes reports for all casino incidents on appropriate form and routes to supervisor
Responds to emergencies on casino property according to established procedures, watch for and report all safety hazards, and cooperate with tribal/local law enforcement officers as required
Must keep informed of all casino activities and promotions, must possess good public relations skills, and be courteous and helpful to guests and associates at all times
Must read, understand, and adhere to all casino and department policies and procedures.
Must complete and maintain TIPS certification
Must complete and maintain First Aid and CPR certification
Must complete and maintain Fire Extinguisher training
Must attend all meetings and/or training as directed by management.
Performs other job related duties as assigned
AUTHORITY AND SUPERVISORY CAPACITY
• Possesses authority needed to accomplish 1 – 10 above.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or GED required.
Comprehensive computer skills
Security experience preferred
Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
Good organizational and clerical skills required.
Must be able to obtain gaming license.
Satisfactorily complete 40-hour security orientation 8. Bi-cultural experience preferred.
Native American preference.
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
Must have a telephone.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license preferred. If unable to possess or obtain the officer will not be allowed to operate company vehicles.
Must be insurable by casino insurance company.
Must be able to stand / walk for up to eight hours per shift
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Must be able to withstand a smoky environment for extended periods of time, with direct exposure to secondhand smoke.
