About the Role:

Tank Security Team is looking for a motivated and professional Security Officer to help keep the energy positive and the environment safe at special events, theatres, and local entertainment venues across Lincoln, NE. This is a dynamic, people-facing role where no two shifts are the same. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in keeping others safe, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Provide security presence at special events, theatre productions, and local entertainment venues

Monitor crowd behavior and ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for guests and staff

Control access points, check credentials, and manage entry/exit flow

Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies and coordinate with local authorities as needed

Conduct routine patrols of venue premises before, during, and after events

De-escalate conflicts using strong communication and interpersonal skills

Complete accurate incident reports and maintain event security logs

Requirements:

Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred

Valid Nebraska Security Guard registration or ability to obtain one

Strong situational awareness and ability to remain calm under pressure

Excellent verbal communication and conflict de-escalation skills

Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods during events

Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Professional appearance and a team-oriented attitude
