    Job Description

    Security Paving Company is looking for an organized, self-motivated professional to join our team as Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper. This position entails managing the day-to-day accounting as well as providing regular reports to upper management, under the supervision of the CFO. Excellent communication skills and teamwork are a must!

    Primary Responsibilities Include:

    • Accounts Receivable
    • Accounts Payable
    • Processing checks
    • Reconciling vendor statements
    • Maintaining vendor and customer files
    • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual business & payroll tax returns
    • Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
    • Ensuring receipts are collected for company credit card transactions
    • Managing pre-lien waiver & releases
    • Year-end activities (W2/1099)
    • Basic office administration
    • Keep organized records and files for easy and efficient retrieval
    • Miscellaneous

    Ideal Candidate would have the following experience:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word
    • Experience with Viewpoint Vista a plus
    • Construction experience preferred
    • Self-starter with the ability to work independently to resolve problems
    • Analytical and strategic thinker
    • Associate's degree in accounting, business, or finance; Bachelor's degree preferred
    • 4 years of professional experience as a full charge bookkeeper
