    Position Title: Security Personnel-Full-Time Temp/Contract: 2-4 months M-F: 8:30am-5:30pm

    Department: Facilities Reports to: Building Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

    Job Summary

    Security Personnel plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and supportive environment for staff, clients, and visitors at our behavioral health facility. This individual will monitor premises, respond to incidents, and assist with de-escalation and support services in alignment with trauma-informed care principles.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to ensure facility security

    Conduct routine patrols of the interior and exterior grounds

    Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, or emergencies

    Enforce facility policies regarding visitor access, contraband, and restricted areas

    Maintain detailed incident reports and logs

    Support evacuation procedures and emergency response protocols

    Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary

    Provide compassionate, respectful interaction with individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges

    Always uphold confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent required

    Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or behavioral health settings preferred

    Valid security license or OPOTA certification (if required by state)

    CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

    Strong observational and interpersonal skills

    Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations

    Familiarity with de-escalation techniques is a plus

    Must pass background check and drug screening

    Physical Requirements

    · Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

    · May require lifting or physical intervention in emergency situations

    · Must be able to respond quickly across facility grounds
