    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Your role will be to collect and analyze open source intelligence on malicious risks. You will learn how to structure and analyse relevant intelligence data utilizing various references and tools, with an emphasis in assessing and presenting data using digital-based platforms. You may contribute to written reports, and participate in meetings as needed to complete requested tasks. You will demonstrate a high level of intellectual curiosity and interest in crime, terrorism, civil unrest, politics or international relations. You will enjoy solving complex problems. You will enjoy working with and learning from people from a range of professional disciplines. You will be collaborative in your approach and will check-in daily with your supervisor or project manager.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    REQUIRED

    • Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant academic discipline, e.g. politics, sociology, criminology, international relations etc.
    • Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to conduct sound research and develop defensible research methodologies
    • An understanding or desire to know more about the built environment.
    • Experience in using Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
    • Candidate must not require sponsorship, now or in the future to be considered for this role

    PREFERRED

    • Awareness or experience with using digital tools to process, analyze, organize and present data
    • Demonstrable proficiency in working with data and data manipulation tools
    • Quantitative analysis skills
    • Experience with utilizing open source intelligence (OSINT) tools to collect and analyze data

    SF HIRING RANGE :

    The good faith base salary hiring range for this job performed in San Francisco, California is $26.00 to $37.00 per hour. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of San Francisco, California will differ.
