    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Security Service Technician is an entry level position that will assist in performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and support for PC based access control, video systems, intrusion, and related equipment. The technician will be trained in installation and repairing company installed equipment.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform Service Support Program duties
    • Assist in installation of quoted service projects
    • Install door hardware, cameras, pull cable, and work at heights
    • Troubleshoot access control, intrusion, intercom, and video systems.
    • Replace failed components, as necessary
    • Must keep paperwork up to date
    • Communication with Team Lead and Service Coordinator

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Experience with access systems, IP cameras, intercoms, intrusion systems, and hardware installation is a plus
    • Ability to work with hand tools and power tools
    • Troubleshooting skills or basic knowledge of electronics is a plus
    • Basic knowledge of networks is a plus
    • Computer hardware and software skills. (Microsoft Word, Excel, hard drives, etc.)
    • Ability to work independently
    • Strong communication and interactive skills

    *WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:*

    **** ****This position requires a combination of working in an office environment and routine visits to project jobsites up to 50% of working hours. Project jobsites present typical construction and outdoor conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment for safety purposes. Lifting and exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds more frequently is required. Must be comfortable climbing a ladder infrequently.
