  • Responsibilities

    The Security Shift Lead is responsible for supervising security operations during assigned shifts to ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets. This role provides on-site leadership to security officers, monitors surveillance systems, enforces policies and procedures, and serves as the primary point of contact for incidents during the shift.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead, supervise, and support security officers during assigned shifts
    • Ensure all security protocols, post orders, and procedures are followed
    • Monitor and operate CCTV surveillance systems and security equipment
    • Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm and professional manner
    • Prepare and submit detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift summaries
    • Utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting, communication, and documentation
    • Communicate effectively with management, clients, and local authorities when necessary
    • Train and mentor security officers on procedures, equipment, and customer service standards
    • Enforce access control policies and verify credentials as required
    • Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information

    Required Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Previous security experience required; supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred
    • Familiarity with CCTV systems, access control systems, and alarm monitoring
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
    • Strong attention to detail and report-writing skills
    • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
    • Must be reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Valid security guard license
    • CPR/First Aid certification
    • Experience with incident management or emergency response procedures

    Work Schedule

    • Must be available to work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
