Job Summary: The Security Supervisor is responsible for the security and safety of our client’s property and personnel. This position will supervise staff on their assigned shift, while providing training, recognition, coaching & counseling, and discipline to those within their span of control.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and guide the Security Guards on shift to include, ensuring staff clocks in/out on time, approving/denying requests for time off, and addressing and documenting communication with team members with substandard performance.

Regularly patrol and spot-check premises

Gather information and complete reports while maintaining confidentiality. • Defuse disturbances by following company policies and procedures

Maintaining daily records to include Incident Reports

Motivating and coaching employees

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others

Assign work areas for Security Guards

Ensure appropriate staffing levels for the assigned weekday shifts

Respond to alarms and distress calls from client and client’s employees as well as Apex Sentry employees

Act as a liaison between the Client and Apex Sentry employees

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Valid Georgia Drivers License with clean driving record

The ability to work Monday through Friday from 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Minimum 2 years’ Supervisory Experience in Security, Law Enforcement and/or Military required

24 Hour Armed or Unarmed Security Guard Certification required

Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional manner

Must be able to observe situations and determine appropriate responses

Organized, have a keen eye for detail, trustworthy, and can manage others effectively

Must be at least 21 years of age

Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client’s site, calmly and efficiently

Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain, snow, high winds or heat

Occasionally lift or carry up to 25 pounds

Stand or walk on various surfaces for extended periods of time.
