The ideal candidate should have at least one year of relevant accounting experience and be willing to work within a collaborative environment. Candidates with strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn should apply to this position. SSA employees are required to work on-site at our East Pittsburgh location near Forest Hills.

Functions & Responsibilities

• Process and post customer payment
• Process and post customer payments
• Update the accounts receivable records and issue invoices
• Update the accounts receivable records and perform customer account audits
• Assist the team in processing monthly billing invoices and account statements
• Adhere to the company’s accounting-related policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Follow local, state, and federal accounting-related regulations and guidelines
• Update the financial database to make sure that all the information is accurate and accessible when needed
• Assist the accounting department with other projects
• Ensure that customers and clients receive great customer service

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting practices and principles
• One year of relevant experience is preferred.
• Customer Service experience is essential for success in this position
• Excellent Oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint
