    SUMMARY

    The LMHP is responsible for all clinical services and supervision of all non-licensed staff. The LMHP functions include, but are not limited to gathering of data for the assessment, conducting, at a minimum, one face to face interview with the recipient and their family/significant others as well as sign and date the assessment document, administering and scoring LOCUS/CALOCUS, if an Approved Clinical Evaluator (ACE), and acting as team leader of the service planning team.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Assures Active Recipient Involvement

    Provides identified psychotherapy services to recipient

    Provides aggressive outreach if the recipient begins to participate less than specified

    Assures continuity of care when recipient is placed in an institutional setting, such as the hospital, jail, etc.

    Serves as team leader for the MHR assessment and completes the strengths assessment and integrated summary.

    Develops Treatment Plan and prepares subsequent updates in conjunction with the team of service providers

    Assures development of goals, objectives, and interventions that are consistent with the Treatment Plan

    Provides oversight for the integrated implementation of service goals, objectives, and interventions

    Completes the LOCUS/CALOCUS Scoring Sheets in a timely manner

    Assures appropriate, effective service delivery

    Convenes the Service Planning Team, as necessary, to adjust the Treatment Plan to the needs of the recipient

    Must attend all mandated meetings conducted by the Bureau (DHH) or its designee

    MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Works in close collaboration with physicians and other health care personnel in recipient evaluation and treatment to further their understanding of significant social and emotional factors underlying recipient’s mental health problem.

    Helps recipient and family to understand, accept, and follow medical and mental health recommendations.

    Maintains a professional relationship with staff, peers, and upper management.

    Adheres to the policies, procedures, and work rules of SEEDLINKS BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT, LLC.

    Obtains 20 training hours as required for a full time Clinical Manager or 16 hours as required for part time yearly

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Directly supervises between 6 to 8 clinical employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the agency’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, awarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    An LMHP is a person who has a graduate degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution and is licensed to practice in the state of Louisiana by the applicable professional board of examiners. An LMHP provides professional mental health services within the scope and ethical boundaries allowed by the professional license. In order to qualify as a mental health-related field, an academic program must have curriculum content in which at least 70 percent of the required courses for the major field of study are based upon the core mental health disciplines.

    Licensure Requirements: One of the following is required:

    LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)

    LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)

    LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker)

    LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist)

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, recipients, customers, and the general public.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, recipients, and the general public. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle that is legally insured to be used for off-site clinical services consultation or case management.

    Maintain CPR, First Aid, and CPI certification.
