Position Summary:

The ideal Property Insurance Adjuster Instructor candidate will have a passion for teaching and mentoring by taking their prior subject matter expertise and devise content that engages with and grows the knowledge of all who interact with the instructor. The instructor will collaborate cross-functionally to understand needs of the business and how instructor(s) can support.

Candidate Qualifications

Property Insurance Adjuster Instructor candidates are asked to meet the following qualifications in order to be considered:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensed property adjuster (field or desk).
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of property adjuster experience

• Experience with instructional design, curriculum development, and teaching/training.

• Proficiency in recording and editing instructional videos, using tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar software.

• Experience as a roofing contractor and/or Property Inspection

Daily Responsibilities

Collaborate with the instructional design team

• Develop and/or support development of engaging and comprehensive course content for live in-person, pre-recorded, and asynchronous learning.
• Support team as a Subject Matter Expert to identify gaps in current learning materials, and recommend improvements.

Conduct training and learning sessions

• Bring passion and enthusiasm to the classroom to engage learners and maximize learning retention
• Collect and analyze feedback to continuously improve each course delivered
• Provide ongoing help and support to current and prior learners as applicable
• Stay informed about emerging trends in the academic learning space to improve delivery of instructional content
• Willingness and enthusiasm to use new technologies and learning formats to include Extended Reality and microlearning lessons.

Partner with teams

• Support the learning ecosystem
• Understand current trends in the roofing industry and instructional design to keep learners engaged and informed

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities at this time.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of three (5) years of experience as a Property Claims Adjuster (Desk or Field)
• Preferred experience as an instructor or trainer
• Preferred experience in course development
• Experience with Microsoft Suites required
• Experience with MS Teams or Zoom a plus

Work Environment:

• Professional office

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand during instructional periods (7-hrs per day)
• Must be able to routinely use standard office equipment.
• Able to lift 25lbs
