    Segall Bryant & Hamill is seeking a Client Service Associate to focus on portfolio administration and daily portfolio accounting. This position will support the Advisor Solutions Team and act as back-up to the Wrap SMA/UMA trading team.  The ideal candidate for this role will manage routine and complex accounting functions, create model-based trade allocations, and work effectively in a team environment. This position does not have any direct reports.

     

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Administrative associate for Advisory Services business.
    • Open new client accounts and administer assets by auditing daily trade activity, identify errors and reconcile discrepancies between various sources.
    • Provide assistance to the Portfolio Managers and Sales team by:
      1. Open new accounts
      2. Monitor account restrictions, guidelines, daily trade activity and cash flows
      3. Prepare trading allocation programs
      4. Create meeting books, reports and quarterly commentaries as needed
      5. Fulfill requests by clients on a daily basis.
    • Backup for Wrap SMA/UMA administrator
      1. Provide backup/overflow assistance to the Wrap SMA/UMA Administrator/Trader
        • Monitor Daily client requests
        • Create model-based trading allocation programs
        • Submit UMA model weight updates
    • Wrap SMA/UMA Report analytics
      1. Prepare and review weekly reposts in external SMA/UMA systems to monitor exceptions, cash level and discrepancies
      2. Create monthly and quarterly sales and finance reports from the data gathered by the Wrap SMA/UMA Administrator
    • Audit account activity, identify and resolve discrepancies, calculate, and process statistical data and reports

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

     

    • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a brokerage, investment, or banking environment
    • Ability to capture, maintain and foster a team-oriented attitude, as this individual will work in conjunction with fellow team members in a Self-Managed Work Team environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs with intermediate to advanced level proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Complex Formulas, (Macros preferred)
    • Experience with Advent APX, Moxy, Factset, APL Windows, Vestmark, CG Trade Connect, and various model overlay platforms, (Salesforce preferred)
    • Initiative to learn new systems, workflows, and ability to adapt to improving procedures over time
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Bachelor’s degree
