ONBOARDING & RISK SPECIALIST
JOB SUMMARY:
The Onboarding & Risk Specialist is responsible for maintaining and handling all aspects of client onboarding and monitoring various reports for suspicious activity; including but not limited to onboarding eCommerce merchants, knowledge of KYC & AML Requirements, identifying discrepancies, grasping the concepts of e-commerce transactions. This position will involve liaising with clients and internal teams in Sales, Operations and Technical Support, external vendors, and Acquiring partner banks.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assists Account Managers with collection of KYC documents for client Onboarding
· Reviews applications for completeness, compliance with AML/KYC policy requirements
· Reviews client websites for compliance, completeness, value proposition, and required disclosures
· Ensures Merchants are onboarded in line with Company’s policies and procedures
· Follow ups with internal and external parties when activities go beyond their expected duration
· Conducts periodic internal review of accounts, and monitors changes to client data such as name or address
· Evaluates client business models for soundness and fit for the Portfolio
· Terminates clients when the relationship has ended
· Provides feedback to continually improve the process
· Reviews daily exception reports
· Analyzes e-commerce transactions for potential fraud risk
· Identifies emerging fraud patterns and escalates
· Resolves daily fraud escalations from the customer service center
· Perform other duties and projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Experience with high risk e-commerce industry
· 2-3 years of experience in similar position
· Excellent computer skills
· Experience with using Microsoft based Software
· SQL Server experience (a plus)
· Ability to identify, escalate, and resolve problems/issues
· Efficient time management skills and critical thinking
· Proactive and goal-oriented self-starter
· Extremely clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
· Strong Onboarding, KYC, and AML knowledge and or desire to understand the process
· Capacity to work independently with minimal direction
· Ability to build rapport with others
